Private Media, the parent company of Crikey, The Mandarin, and SmartCompany has become the first major Australian publisher to sign an agreement for minimum freelance terms.

This agreement comes as a direct result over 250 freelancers and staff coming together and taking action, showing Private Media the importance of valuing the work of their contributors.

This is a massive win and a huge milestone in the MEAA freelance campaign, setting a precedent for the industry at large to step up and respect all workers.
